The Spoiled Generation?

My buddy Jesse -you all know him- sent me this video and it is the most amazing thing I have seen so far this year:

He certainly says a lot that needs to be heard. The only thing he didn't mention that needs to be heard is that Susan Serandon is the devil, Sean Penn is a high school drop-out and a complete moron, and our President is not the Savior.

Loved this clip! Now that I fly cross country a lot I can relate to his examples. I am continually amazed at how people complain about every little thing. Give me a break! Particularly at security...the rules have been changed since 9/11 people! No, you can't bring your 40 oz. water on the plane! Yes, you have to take your laptop out!

You can take out your pens and mark us down as the "Participation Trophy" generation. In the name of "fairness" everyone gets a trophy. No feels left out or like they are worth less. No one wins and no one is inspired to be "better". Can't wait to live in that world!

Read Brian Sack's book "In the Event of My Untimely Demise". It's a decent read but it makes an absolutely right-on point... someone needs to tell the "americal idol" generation that WANTING IS THE FIRST STEP, not the end result.

Now, get off my lawn!!
